***Hello Monday is where I greet the new week with an open heart and a fresh perspective. It’s a new beginning–and there’s so much to be thankful for!***
I’m linking up with Lisa Leonard to welcome a new week.
Our first full week of 2015. It’s amazing how it seemed like just yesterday we we were all preparing for Y2K and now we are knee-deep in the 2000s. It makes me feel excited and old all at the same time!
This is our last week in the States. Next Monday we will head back to India and into our final six months living there. We have a bunch of things we want to do this week-some of them logistical (packing, shopping, and prepping the house) and others more exciting (one last day trip, a date night, and a few more indulgent American meals).
But first a few hellos.
Hello to a visit from old friends. One of the best things about living overseas is getting to catch up with friends from India on Bainbridge Island. The girls had fun and we got to enjoy a night of wine and catch up until we all succumbed to lingering jet lag by 9 pm.
Hello to a date with my girl. We did some shopping and had lunch together. She makes me understand the struggle of being the middle child is real. Some one on one time makes it much better.
Hello to a hike in the Grand Forest. It was cold and crisp, but the sun was out and we all enjoyed being out in a nature for an hour or so. Stella even managed to stop complaining for a whopping 45 minutes.
Hello to Annie. I took the girls to see the Annie remake and we all loved it. I still prefer the original, but it was so fun to introduce Sophie and Stella to the movie and the songs. There’s a lot of “Hard Knock Life” and “Tomorrow” happening around these parts. Stella loved Ms. Hannigan, despite her raging drunk behavior.
Hello to our last week before we head back to school. This little one is ready. She’s writing the morning the message and playing school with anyone who will listen. It’s been a great break, but I can feel all of us craving some routine.
Cheers to a first full week of 2015 and our last week of vacation!
